Fine and Prohibition Order in Canadian Bid-Rigging Case Involving Government Contracts - Canada's Competition Bureau announced in June 2009 that an individual pleaded guilty to a criminal charge of bid-rigging in a Transport Canada tendering process for an IT contract. He was fined CAD 25,000 and a prohibition order was issued against his former company. The case is one of several recent successes in the Bureau's efforts to deter bid-rigging.
